Hi, I’m Zuzanna. Some may say I’m straight forward, “a little” sassy, enthusiastic, continually inspired and always searching to learn more.

My story begins long before I ever picked up a design book. My parents were first-generation immigrants from Poland who, on their journey to the United States, spent two years in a refugee camp in a small coastal town called Ladispoli, just outside of Rome. It was there — surrounded by Italian warmth, food, and architecture — that I was born.

Years later, as a college sophomore, I returned to Italy to study abroad in Florence. What started as a coincidence became a full-circle moment — a return to the country that quietly shaped my beginnings and sparked my lifelong love for timeless design, soulful living, and the beauty of intentional spaces.

After graduating from Marymount University with a degree in Interior Design, my career took a few creative detours — from managing high-end corporate interiors and restaurant construction projects to overseeing branding and design concepts for hospitality groups, and later, working in commercial real estate for restaurants and retail.

Each chapter refined my eye for design, process, and storytelling — the foundation of IDbyZM.

Although I’ve loved every twist in my journey, my heart has always belonged to the creative. I believe design has the power to shape how we live and how we feel. From your morning coffee ritual at home to the energy of a restaurant that makes you want to linger — design tells your story.

Oh, and when I’m not immersed in design, you’ll find me savoring a good glass of wine, laughing with my sweet family, chasing my two Jack Russells, sneaking in a Nutella snack, or dancing in the kitchen — because life’s too short to take too seriously.
